Kayla van Kooten

Kayla Rose van Kooten is a PhD student in the German Department with designated emphases in Dutch Studies and New Media. Her central research interests are multilingualism, translation, digital media, and language based technologies. Outside of academia, she works as a the social media manager for several organizations, a freelance translator, and a website designer. In addition to German and Dutch, she is proficient in Spanish, Arabic, and Persian.
